Day 01: Arrival Chennai and Transfer to Hotel
Upon arrival at Chennai airport our executive will meet you in the airport and followed by transfer to the hotel. (Overnight in Chennai) [Transport: Vehicle only for arrival transfer]

Day 02: Chennai - Mamallapuram (65 km / 1.5 h)
Check out from the hotel after breakfast and depart for a short visit of Chennai visiting - Shiva Kapaleeshwarar Temple - constructed in the Dravidian style on 1250 AD and rebuilt by Vijayanagar king in 16th century displays the architectural elements - rainbow - magnificent 37m tall colored gopurams, mandapams and a huge tank. After you will visit the Santhome church - a soaring Roman Catholic Church said to house the remains of apostle Doubting Thomas. Further drive towards Mamallapuram and on arrival check in the hotel and relax.

Day 03: Mamallapuram / Sightseeing
After breakfast depart for the sightseeing of Mamallapuram visiting - Arjuna`s Penance - the largest Bas Relief whale-back shaped rock contains figures of Gods, demigods, men, beasts, birds and infant represent the entire creation, the "Five Rathas", also known as Pancha Pandava Rathas consist of five monolithic temples where each temple is created in different style. At the end of a trip we will visit "The shore Temple" the oldest temples in South India which was built in the 8 century AD, constructed in Dravidian style. This temple has two shrines, one for Shiva and another for Vishnu. Break out for a lunch at the oldest restaurant in Mamallapuram.

Day 04: Mamallapuram - Tanjore (290 km / 6 h)
Check out from the hotel after breakfast and drive towards Tanjore - the chola citadel. Enroute sightseeing of Dharashuram visiting - the Airatesvara temple from 12th century of Chola architecture constructed by Raja Raja II. The row of large statues around the temple was replaced with brick in the 14th century and Columns with unique miniature sculptures surround the temple .Further drive towards Tanjore and check in the hotel.

Day 05: Tanjore / Sightseeing
After breakfast depart for the sightseeing of Tanjore visiting - the Brihadishwara Temple, an exquisite example of the Chola architecture built by Raja Chola in 10th Century AD. It is declared as a world heritage monument with several pillared halls, shrines and 250 linga (stone pillars that represent Brahma the creator of the universe) enshrined along the outer walls. The Royal palace museum has a rare collection of Chola bronze statues from 9th to 18th century. (Overnight in Tanjore) [Transport: Vehicle at disposal]

Day 06: Tanjore - Madurai (195 km / 4.5 h)
Check out from the hotel after breakfast and drive towards Madurai - the oldest city in Tamil nadu. Enroute visit Trichy - the famous rock fort temple & local markets , Further drive to Madurai . On arrival check in the hotel and in the evening attend a fantastic night ceremony at Meenakshi Temple, where the moveable images of the God and Goddess are carried to the bed chamber. The ceremony was accompanied by a horn, drum and cymbalist, among other sounds. The enormous temple is dedicated to Shiva and his wife Meenakshi and has a stunning architecture. Its soaring towers rise from solid granite bases, and are covered with stucco figures of deities, mythical animals and monsters painted in vibrant colours.

Day 07: Madurai / Sightseeing
After breakfast depart for the sightseeing of Madurai in the bicycle rickshaw. The Cycle Rickshaw tour of Madurai offers you a memorable experience of being in this old city. It takes you to the interesting narrow streets & lanes of Madurai showing the typical life of people in here. The Rickshaw pullers of Madurai were getting very unpopular with the locals, as the locals preferred the more modern mode of transport. Day 08: Madurai - Periyar (170 km / 4 h)
Check out from the hotel after breakfast and drive towards Periyar also called Thekkady, South India's most popular wildlife sanctuary spread across 777 sq km in the picturesque rainforests of the Western Ghats. The sanctuary encompasses a 26 sq km artificial lake. This is the only sanctuary in India that offer the unique opportunity of viewing wild life in their natural habitat at close quarters from the safety of a boat on the lake. It is also the center of spice plantations such as Cardamom, Cloves, Pepper, Coffee and Tea. On arrival check in the hotel and proceed for spice plantation tour where in various species of spices are cultivated. (Overnight in Thekkady)

Day 09: Periyar - Kumarakom (125 km / 3 h)
Check out from the hotel after breakfast and drive towards Kumarakom - a rich green, sleepy little village on the Vembanad Lake. This village provides boating, fishing and sight seeing experiences that are truly exhilarating. On arrival check into hotel and rest of the day is at leisure. Day 10: Kumarakom - Alleppey (Cruises: Alleppey round trip) (55 km / 1.5 h)
Check out from the resort after breakfast and drive towards Alleppey - the land of backwaters. On arrival check onto the private House Boat which is waiting to take you on a tour through the backwaters, a splendid area full of canals, lakes and coves. You can sunbathe on the deck or observe the landscape from the protection of the cabin. The population's whole life takes place here on the water. The people sail, fish, swim and bathe here. They do their washing and their washing up. The trip goes through a wonderful area full of palm trees, rice fields and floating water plants that surround the boat like emerald Green Island. Day 11: Alleppey - Cochin (65 km / 1.5 h)

Day 12: Cochin / Sightseeing
After breakfast depart for the sightseeing of Cochin visiting - 'The Jewish Synagogue' at the heart of what is locally called the Jew Town, 'The St. Francis Church', the oldest European Church in India, 'The Santa Cruz Basilica' originally built in 1557 by the Portuguese, The Dutch Palace, Spice market at the narrow streets and the 'Chinese fishing nets' are huge cantilevered fishing nets believed to have brought to Kochi by Chinese traders. In the evening visit the famous dance drama of Kerala, the "Kathakali". This dance can be characterized by grotesque gesticulations, amazing costumes and very extensive make-up. The stories are mostly taken from the epics Mahabharatha and Ramayana. (Overnight in Cochin)
